I have listed several methods of using meditation combined with guided imagery to promote healing of the body. All three methods are excellent ways to promote healing and may be used separately or together for combined affect.
Healing Using Grounding Meditation
In advanced work, these roots may stay and continue to drain toxins while performing other exercises.
Continue calm, deep breathing and visualize a clear, cool, liquid coming from above your head and flowing down your body and out your fingertips and your toes. This liquid relaxes, calms, soothes, and heals. It is filled with nutrients to calm and heal and penetrates deep into your body. Picture this liquid flowing down your head, along your neck, chest, torso, and so on. As the liquid passes through each body part, it relaxes, soothes and heals. It penetrates deep into your body, passing into skin, tissues, muscles, veins, bones, and organs, deep into the cells of you body.. As it heals, it also cleanses and washes away any impurities left in your body, right out your fingertips and toes. Take your time during this part of the exercise and picture the liquid flowing through each party of your body, one by one, down to your toes and relaxing and healing each section. If a section of your body is not relaxing as you visualize the liquid passing over it, take a few minutes and concentrate on the section until it relaxes. When finished, continue meditating and visualizing the liquid flowing through your entire body, washing away any impurities that may be left over.
For this technique we are going to use meditation with guided imagery to flush toxins from our body. Toxins are any foreign substance in your body resulting from either illness or injury. Ground yourself as in the Grounding Meditation and visualize any toxins and foreign substances in your body being drawn down deep into the earth by your roots. The earth easily dissolves these toxins and your roots continue to drain only toxins into the earth to rid your body of all impurities. While draining toxins and foreign substances from your body, your roots also provide an unlimited energy source to perform your work. It will vitalize and refresh you and keep you from draining your energies.
Healing Liquid Meditation
For this technique we are going to use meditation with guided imagery to flush toxins from our body. Toxins are any foreign substance in your body resulting from either illness or injury. Perform your Relaxation Meditation prior to this exercise.
Body Scan Meditation
Now that you have used your grounding and healing liquid to rid your body of toxins, it is time to perform a final scan to search your body for any toxins that may be leftover. Start at the top of your head and slowly work your way downward, going from the top of your head, down to your eyes, to your nose and lips, mouth, neck, etc. Picture a blue wave length much like a laser light, slowly moving down your body and picking up any leftover toxins. If you find a toxin, let the scan sit on that spot for a minute and break up the toxin and let the clear, cool liquid wash it away. Scan each section slowly and concentrate on what your body is telling you. Your mind knows your body best and once you become comfortable with this type of mind/body exercise, your mind wont fail you and the results will be tremendous. Do not rush during this part of the exercise. This is a very advanced technique and will come more easily with practice. At first you may not be sure if you are sensing any toxins or not but if you are not sure about an area, work on that area anyway. As you become more accustomed to this type of work, you will be able to pick up on toxins easily. For best results, peform this exercise while performing the Healing Liquid exercise.
