This is the meditation I use daily to cleanse and open my chakras.

Okay, First I do my relaxation meditation to get into a good meditative state. Remember to do your slow, deep breathing during meditations.

just a little hint: with these guided meditations, I find it easier to read them out loud into a tape recorder and then play it back while performing them. That way you will not lose concentration by opening your eyes to read it as you go through it. Once you are familiar with it, you can memorize it.

First, bring your consciousness down to the base of your spine. We are going to concentrate on the first Chakra, The Root Chakra. The color is red. I want you to picture a closed Red Rose. Now picture the rose gently spinning and as it spins, it begins to open. As it opens, the rose pedals slowly fall away and out of site, revealing a beautiful transparent Red Jewel inside. As the jewel continues to spin, you will surround the jewel with a gentle, soft, wispy air that will cleanse it thoroughly. Notice the dark spots and patches on the Red Jewel being cleansed away and the Jewel begins to shine a bright brilliant Red! The Red radiates outward as far as you can imagine and beings to climb up the spin to towards the next Chakra.

The Spleen Chakra is located a bit above the Root Chakra and it's color is orange. Picture a closed Orange Rose and follow the instructions as you did for the Red Rose, this time imagining an Orange Jewel inside radiating an Orange Bright Light outwards.

Continue with the above exercises replacing the correct color for each associated Chakra.
